Spice soup for after child birth - increases appetite, breast milk and helps to clear the excess tis

In this challenging time let us not forget those expecting mothers who may not have the support and guidance they were expecting due to pressure on health care professionals. If you are expecting a child or know someone who is, this recipe is a lovely way to help strengthen and support the afterbirth body. It increases appetite so the body can properly digest food, sending all nutrients to the correct places without creating any blockages, helping to build up immunity and avoiding deficiencies. It increases breast milk production and it can help to clear tissues no longer needed from the womb.

Ingredients:

2 tsp coriander seeds

1 tsp nigella seeds (and/or cumin for digestive issues)

8-10 black peppercorns (grind if you like spice)

3 garlic cloves

½ inch piece of ginger

8-10 curry leaves

½ inch cinnamon or 1tsp of powder

1tsp tamarind paste

Grind everything to a smooth paste

Cook in pan with 3 cups of water for 10 mins then drink

You can have with a little over cooked rice if the digestion is working (the mother feels hunger) or just drink on it's own.

Do not have during pregnancy.
